The hit ios game Temple Run has finally made its way on to android. We have been waiting for a long long time, and after countless fakes you’re able to download it from the Google Play Store. Oh, and one of the best things? Yep, it’s also free!

The guys over at Humble Bundle have added a new #android game to their current Humble Bundle line up. The game is called Snuggle Truck and involves driving a truck over treacherous terrain with the goal of reaching the Zoo without losing any of the animals in the truck.

A new, and very well made HotUKDeals app has hit the Play Store today named DealPad. The developer has really tried to stay true to new #android style guidelines given by Google for ICS.

I have to say the app looks really, really nice (inclusion of one of my favourite colours, orange is a bonus!). The app does require Honeycomb upwards however, a must as it's based on the new android framework.

It works great on both tablets and phones too, definitely an app to try out if you're lucky enough to own a Honeycomb or ICS android device (and are from the UK!).

Flick Kick Football for #android updated, looks really nice on hi-res screens now!

Wes Anderson, the incredibly talented guy behind one of my favourite films recently (Fantastic Mr. Fox) has been tasked by Sony to direct their new slew of Xperia adverts for Sonys #android phones.

The campaign is known as "Made of Imagination" and features the imaginations of children turned into some pretty cool stop-motion videos.

You can see the first in the series of ads below. It's actually quite cute and you can tell it's had some talent behind it bringing it to life. Can't forget the stars of the ads though… the kids!

Sony (or Sony Ericsson) has a pretty decent history of good android ads, wouldn't expect anything less!

The team behind great apps like Go Launcher and Go SMS (apps that I both use btw), have released the first beta for their new #android app, Go Backup. The new app will backup:

- Contacts
- SMS
- Apps and app data (this feature requires root)

Personally I use Titanium backup for my app and data backups, but this app looks somewhat…cleaner than Titanium, so I'm interested to see how it proceeds. The addition of SMS is also a nice inclusion

Sony is continuing where Sony Ericsson took off, and really embracing the #android modding community. Today they posted on their blog the open source archive for the Xperia S along with other various flashing tools (+instructions).

They specifically call out custom ROM developers in their post too. Its refreshing to see a manufacturer actually making it easy to create custom ROMs and being able to flash these easily to a device. Others should really start to take note!

Slider widget for #android is a pretty cool app/widget for controlling various system settings. There are literally hundreds of widget apps on the Play Store that let you do this already, however slider widget does it in a pretty unique style.

Adding the widget to your homescreen provides a bar with 6 different controls on it, including things such as screen brightness and volume controls. Clicking on one of these controls pops up a slider so you can change the setting to the exact value you want, rather than having to scroll through a set of pre-defined values.
