We’ve had reports in that unbranded HTC One X‘s in Europe are beginning to receive software updates to 1.28.401.9. The update is fairly small coming in at around 30mb. Hopefully this should fix the unusually bad battery life some are experiencing on their One X as well as the reported screen flicker and random reboot issues!

Here is some good news for most Samsung Galaxy SII owners, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is now available for your device via Samsung Kies.

Google have updated the pretty awesome Chrome Beta for android. The new update brings a few new features, although the main one most will be excited about is being able to request the desktop versions of websites! This has been promised by the guys at Google for a while, and it’s great for it to finally hit!

As well as the main update, the following is also included in the new version:

• You can now add bookmarks as shortcuts on your home screen, so you can get to your favorite sites faster.
• Choose your favorite apps to handle links opened in Chrome.
• Have a proxy setup for Wi-Fi access? You can now use Chrome with the system proxy configured in Android settings.

The Asus Padfone, Asus Transformer Pad Infinity (TF700T) and the Asus Transformer Pad 300 series have all been priced in Italy. These prices are probably going to be the same across the continental EU (or at least in those countries that have the Euro as their currency). We also get rough release time frames for the three products.

Out of nowhere, popular Read It Later has become Pocket. The desktop and #android app lets you store articles for reading at a later date.

The android app has undergone a huge overhaul along with the name change, and it’s much, much better as a result. It now follows the styling of android, in particular with regards to ICS.

The front page of the app actually reminds me slightly of the ICS Gmail app for android. The app also filters between images, text and videos automatically, again in a very aesthetically pleasing manner too.

Oh, and did I mention they changed the price to free as well? Great for some of us, not for those of us (like me) who bought the old app!

Here is the news that we have all been waiting for! Samsung have announced their next Unpacked event to be held on May 3 where we will “come and meet the next Galaxy”.

Sony Mobile announced yesterday that they are beginning to roll out ICS updates for some of their Xperia range of Smartphones from 2011.

Well this came out of nowhere, I actually thought Space was going to be the next game to get some new levels. But Rovia jsut released a new update for the original Angry Birds game named Surf and Turf.
