HTC set up a “Studio” division to help with “Hero Device”
So we all know HTC had a very mixed year last year. It started out all right but as the year progressed sales dwindled as HTC pumped out device after device, each one with similar specs to the other and most of their devices started to look similar or like they were made up from parts left over from different phones. This year HTC is changing things up. At their financial results call HTC acknowledged that 2011 was a less than stellar year and have set up the “Studio” division.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus 32GB + White Version Incoming!
One of the biggest (and nearly the only issue if it wasn’t for the camera) issues I have with the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is the lack of a microSD card slot. Well, the issue is actually with the maximum space of 16GB, the lack of a slot just means it can’t be expanded. I know from a lot of people that this is something that actually stops them investing in the Galaxy Nexus too.

FIFA 12 Released Exclusively On Xperia Play For FREE!
EA Sports has just released FIFA 12 in association with Sony Ericsson. The newest FIFA game comes exclusively to the Xperia Play until early next year. What might come as even better news for Xperia Play owners is that the game is actually free via the phones Games widget. That’s a pretty good deal as this game would probably be at least £5 when it hits the android market proper. I’ve had a quick go of this game myself and was very impressed. The graphic, music and game options are great and plentiful, more than enough there to keep you going for hours and hours, and did I mention it was free?

£120 Worth Free Media Vouchers For Samsung Galaxy Note Owners
Samsung have an offer on for everyone that has bought a Galaxy Note since its release. The offer is quite similar to the one they offered when they released the original Galaxy Tab which offered a whole load of free media content. This offer, gives Note owners the ability to “redeem vouchers worth up to a total value of £120, comprising: £65 voucher to redeem at Samsung Movies and £50 voucher to redeem at 7digital and to download an AVG pro security application worth £6 for free”.
Real Life Football With Sony Ericsson and The Xperia Play
Sony Ericsson have recently created a viral video aimed to promote their catalog of football games, such as the newly released FIFA 12 on android (an Xperia Play exclusive for now). The concept behind the video is actually kind of cool, and involves controlling real football players using the Xperia Play smartphone. It pits Kasabians Tom Meighan against England “Star” Darren Bent. They simply press the appropriate button on the phone and it sends the signal wirelessly to the player. You’ll just have to watch the video below to see what I mean!
