Samsung is one of the Official Partners of the 2012 Olympic games in London here in the UK, so expect to hear a lot about them in the coming months. One of the better activities they are doing is the Samsung Hope Relay app. Essentially the app tracks when you go running/jogging/cycling, any activity where you move, and for each mile you travel, Samsung will donate £1 to charity on your behalf.

One of the additional cool things I saw at the Samsung Unpacked event (apart from the new Galaxy SIII of course!), was the new and yet unreleased Flipboard app for android.

Instagram for android just got a pretty cool update allowing you to now add the tilt-shift effect to your photos! If you don’t know what that is, it’s basically the function that gives your photos “depth of field and realistic blur”. The new function won’t be available in all android phones however, with Instagram saying this will only be available for supported devices…

We all love gaming on android, there are some great games, and some great phones to play them on. But what we really miss is a real controller to let us play those great games on our great phones to their best potential. Well, that’s where a Gametel bluetooth controller comes in!

Samsung make lots of android phones covering almost every bracket of the market, whether you like this strategy or not there’s no denying it works. News recently broke that Samsung has now overtaken Nokia as the biggest seller of mobile phones on the planet.

Samsung has named its android smartphone range as the Galaxy range, which includes the very top high-end phones all the way down to their entry level phones. The Galaxy Fit ‘fits’ into the latter category. Unashamedly a budget phone, the Galaxy Fit looks to improve upon its predecessor the Galaxy Mini. We’ll let you know if this phone is better suited to taking your money than other budget phones (like the HTC Wildfire S).

Personally I’m a big user of cloud document storage/backup solutions. I make heavy use of Dropbox, and when I heard Google Drive being announced I became very interested. At launch, i tested it out but decided to stick with Dropbox. The reason? All the different 3rd party integration that Dropbox has. I literally cannot live without that type of support.

Sometimes, a piece of news comes that really doesn’t require any explanation, or test written about it at all. Sometimes, images are enough. So without further ado, I present to you… Kegdroid.

The Samsung Galaxy SIII, Galaxy S3 or even simply the “Next Galaxy”. If you are into mobile phones, hell, if you are into technology you’ll have noticed the internet swirling with rumours about this phone. I say this phone because we don’t even know what it will be called yet!
