Samsung vs Apple [Sad UK Edition]

It’s finally happened, Apple have come over to the UK to sue Samsung. The new suit was filed this Monday by Apple. The details remain sketchy, but it was filed in the patents court so we should be able to safely assume this is those dreaded design patents against the Samsung Galaxy series of devices. The same ones that have effectively banned the sale of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Germany already.

What I didn’t know was that this is actually a countersuit from Apple against an action filed in June from Samsung. Going from the recent French suit Samsung rasied against Apple, this one is likely to be to do with mobile communication patents.

Lets just hope the UK courts are more sensible than those found in other countries, and that we won’t have to worry about Samsung devices leaving our shelves!
