B&N have reportedly shipped 3 million of these tablets since it launched in Autumn last year, with 1 million shipped in the last few weeks of the year. Demand was high enough that they could have been selling 600,000 to 700,000 a month at the beginning of this year!

B&N have never officially mentioned their sales figures, but one thing is for certain, this cheap ereader has been very popular. B&N are even preparing to ship out an update that will bring the experience even higher with an update to android 2.2 as well as apps such as angry birds! Those in the dev community even have honeycomb running on this thing. If you are in the market for a cheap android based tablet, you could do much worse than to pick this up!
