Asus Transformer Android Tablet Launching Friday

Written by Rachid Otsmane-Elhaou. Posted in Android News

Asus EeePad Transformer is set to launch in Taiwan this Friday. No pricing has been confirmed for this innovative tablet/netbook offering from Asus as of yet, but expect it to be competitive. The Transformer is also the 2nd tablet to market running Honeycomb (expect a few more in the coming months!)

A reminder of the Transformer specs in case you had forgotten from CES:

  • Android 3.0 (honeycomb)
  • CPU Nvidia Tegra-2 (dual-core)
  • 1080p HD video playback
  • RAM 512MB up to 1GB
  • 16GB or 32GB storage capacity
  • WiFi / Bluetooth 2.1
  • USB 2.0
  • HDMI out
  • 10.1 inch WSVGA capacitive screen (1280 x 800)
  • 1.2MP front / 5 MP rear camera

Does this sort of setup interest you at all? Personally I like the look of it, depending on the final pricing of course.
